Mary Power is an accomplished business driver, facilitator, and executive coach whose entrepreneurial instincts and strategic vision have carried multiple organizations through rapid growth and major organizational change. She has 20 years of progressively responsible experience in the hospitality industry with Sheraton and Intercontinental Hotel Companies as well as 17 years as CEO of three very diverse international associations which she led through significant turnaround and global expansion. This provides her with a deep understanding of the needs and expectations of members, volunteers, boards and staff and allows Mary to successfully partner with both seasoned leaders and those advancing in their careers. Mary is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) certified coach and received her training at Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. She continues to invest in training and holds several certifications for conflict behaviors and key assessments. Currently she sits on the Northern Virginia Community College Foundation Board and is an advisor to two social entrepreneur start-ups. She has been recognized for her contributions to both the association and meetings industry by being selected as an American Society of Association Executives Fellow and received their Women Who Advance Excellence in Associations Award. She was selected by Meeting News magazine as one of the 25 most influential people in the meetings industry for six consecutive years and was inducted into Michigan State University’s Hotel School’s Hall of Leaders.
